Ideas for organizing things on your Mac, iPhone and iPad (Part 2)

Do you have too many things on your Mac desktop or too many icons on your iOS screens? Are there too many messages in your Mail inbox or too many unorganized photos in your Photos app? Can’t locate the files you need? Where can I store PDF documents? Can smart folders and Spotlight help? How can I find duplicate files? How can I use Tags to organize files? Can adding “Comments” to my files make searching easier?

The point of organizing your files and photos is to make it easy to find them again. There are numerous approaches to both organizing and then locating files, photos and apps. Join us from 6:30 to 7 PM at the Tri-Area Community Center in Chimacum on Thursday December 13th when Bob Snow will continue discussing some practical ways Apple experts organize their files. This is part two of a two-part presentation; the first part was presented at the November meeting.

General Business Meeting

A discussion of the business of PTSLUG.

Evening Topic

Digital Storage

The transition from mechanical to solid state hard drives has improved the reliability of digital storage media but with this has come a decrease in size.  As a result, we frequently need to expand storage options beyond a Mac's internal hard drive.  This discussion will look at various storage options in hard drives, how to manage your storage and how to keep it safe from data loss.

Afternoon Class

The afternoon class is on a break for the hollidays.  Look for it to return in January 2019.
